What is the hidden preheader and how to set it?

If you would like to summarize the provided information in your email, a hidden preheader will help you.

This extra text is a perfect way to expand the subject line of an email, explain the essence of an email, or announce a sale.

To set it for your email, switch to the "Settings" menu on the Top panel and insert the desired text into the "Hidden preheader" field.


Most email clients will display the beginning of a text from the email's body right after the subject/preheader in the inbox.

To prevent this from happening, use the option "Fill in with white space". It will add empty space after the subject and preheader.


In case when the "Fill in with white space" option is used, clients will see empty space after the preheader:


Why does Apple Mail still show email body text in the preview?


Please note that when sending emails to Apple Mail, some recipients might still see part of the email body text in the preview, even if "Fill in with white space" is enabled. This happens because Apple Mail allows users to resize the preview pane, increasing its width beyond default limits. Also, the preview length depends on the recipient’s screen size.
