Imagine that you have created an email and are ready to send it to your customers. But before that, you would like to check that this is displayed correctly.
To do this, we strongly recommend that you send a test email to yourself to make sure that your email looks the way you intended, both on desktop and mobile devices. This is called email testing.
Stripo allows testing emails with its embedded email testing tool. Stripo is integrated with the Email on Acid partner service.
This testing option will help you check how your email looks in different email services and devices.
How can I test email templates across multiple email clients?
Prior to sending emails over to recipients, you need to test them to avoid different issues carefully. To do so, please follow a few steps:
Click on the "Test" button above the template;
Select the "Run the test" option;
Important note: Please be informed that each click on the "Run the test" button equals one test.
In a new window, Stripo's embedded email testing tool will show you how your email renders across multiple email clients and devices.
For your convenience, the screenshots here are divided into three groups:
Who has access to the email testing tool?
For the Basic tariff plan, there are 2 free tests per account;
For the Medium” tariff plan, there are 2 free tests per account.
For the Pro tariff plan, there are 3 free tests per account.
And for the Prime tariff plan, there are 50 free tests per account.
What if I don't have enough tests?
Don't worry:) In the Stripo, you have the opportunity to purchase additional tests.
To do so, you need:
Enter the "Organization" settings menu and in the "Additional services" switch to the "Extra Email Clients Tests" option;
Please be informed that 10 email client tests cost $20 and will be available to you within a month.
Let's look at the advanced settings of the email testing tool:
You can customize the number of email clients and devices to make screenshots of the email test. Just "tick" necessary email clients/devices or tick the "Select all" option in the "Organization settings" menu;
Or you can customize these number of email clients/devices directly in the test window;
In the pop-up test window, you can connect an option "Include test results to the email message preview link", with this option, you will be able to share this link with your clients/colleagues for email approval.
And so, if you follow this link, you will be redirected to the following separate tabs,
where the "Test Results" tab will be added. Here you can check all previously generated screenshots of your email on various devices and email clients.
In addition, you can download "Images of current test to archive" and share them with your colleagues.
You also can move between all previous versions of the tests you did before for the current email template. To do so, you should click on the "Version" button.
Important note: The email testing tool can only show screenshots of your emails; therefore, you will see if those elements will be displayed, but not if they work correctly. So, if you’ve added interactive elements, you need to send a test email to as many devices and as many email clients as possible. Send test emails to your colleagues, friends, to everyone who won’t mind it to see if interactivity works in the world’s top email clients.
