What is MIME (Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions)?
MIME (Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions) is an e-mail extension protocol, i.e., it does not operate independently, but it helps to extend the capabilities of e-mail in collaboration with other protocols such as SMTP.
In the Stripo, you can include any email content part in the HTML, AMPHTML, or both versions.
Once you hit the "Include in HTML" option, the chosen element will be shown across those email clients that support only traditional HTML-mime types.
Once you hit the "Include in AMPHTML" option (HTML), the chosen element will be shown across those email clients that support the AMPHTML (text-x-amphtml) MIME-type.
If none is set for a particular email element, this element will be shown across all devices and all email clients.
What is the AMPHTML version?
AMP email is a functionality created by Google to enable email marketers to create and send interactive emails that allow people to fill out forms, play games, rate services, purchase products, book meetings, and more without leaving their inboxes.
The AMP email format provides a subset of AMP HTML components for use in email messages, allowing recipients of AMP emails to interact dynamically with content directly in the message.
