  • Then, switch to the "Setup" → "Security Controls" → "OAuth and OpenID Connect Settings";

Ensure the control "Require Proof Key for Code Exchange (PKCE) Extension for Supported Authorization Flows" is deactivated.

How to get the Business Unit ID?

Important to note:

If you use Pardot's merge tags in a template, please, be advised that all the tags must be written in one format: either PML (when a tag is wrapped with the percent signs, e.g. %%tag%% ) or HML (using curly brackets, e.g. {{tag}} ).

For more details, please, refer to the following article.

For successful export, you must add the unsubscribe tag to an email template.

Pardot requests one of the two tags provided below (HML version):

  • {{Unsubscribe}}

  • {{EmailPreferenceCenter}}

The PML version of these tags is as follows:

  • %%Unsubscribe%%

  • %%email_preference_center%%

One of these tags must be added as plain text, it cannot be added to a button or as a hyperlink (clickable words like Click here to unsubscribe). You can only create a hyperlink with the tag on the side of Pardot.

In order to add a hyperlink with the tag, you ought to:

1) export a template to Pardot;

2) open the template in their editor;

3) replace the text tag with a hyperlink containing the tag.

  • The email template will be exported to the "Account Engagement" → "Content" → "Folders" menu.

  • If you export more than one email or template with the same name, you will see the following pop-up notification where you are asked to choose whether you'd like to export your newsletter as new or replace an existing one.
