A great way to share a lot of information and increase engagement is by using tables in your emails. At Stripo, you can create tables right in your email template.
There are two ways to add a table:
The first way is by using a built-in table constructor. It‘s quite simple and intended for creating small text tables.
The second way involves using basic elements of a template: structures and containers. It is more complicated but allows adding styles to a table and filling it with various content.
Let us take a closer look at both of the methods.
Creating a table using the Built-in Table Constructor:
Add a text block to your email. Then navigate to the "Settings" tab and select the tool "Table":
This is our table constructor. Choose the number of rows and columns:
After you created a table, at the top panel, you will be able to set the other parameters:
Insert column before gives you the option to add a col ahead of the one you have selected;
Insert column after gives you the option to add a col following the one you have selected;
Insert row before gives you the option to add a col above the one you have selected;
Insert row after gives you the option to add a col below the one you have selected;
Delete rows gives you the option to remove a col vertically;
Delete columns gives you the option to remove a col horizontally;
Set the line gives you the option to apply the border around the cell, apply the style and color of the border ( straight, dashed, dotted);
Set the background to the cell;
Delete table.
Creating a table using structures and containers:
Using this method, we will have to manually edit each table cell. However, by doing so, we can make our table more attractive.
Let us add one structure to an email.
Please select the suitable design of the structure in the "Structure&Modules" tab. In order to add more containers to the structure, click "Plus" in the Structure tab. The number of containers will correspond to the number of columns in the table:
Now remove the gap between the containers. Adjust the width for each container, or simply click the Equals sign to set equal width to all the containers:
Remove the top and bottom paddings in the structure:
In the Styles tab, you will be able to add borders to each container:
To ensure the tables' containers appear in a single row on mobile devices, first, go to the top panel and select the mobile version. Then, disable the responsiveness feature for the structure.
Hovering the mouse over three dots to the right of it and you will be able to "Copy" the structure:
Add as many lines as you need and fulfill them with the necessary data to the containers:
Now we can adjust the table and add styles:
Remove unnecessary borders;
Make the line spacing bigger;
Add colors to the cells, and choose a font style and size:
As you can see, the second method is more complicated but allows you to make beautiful tables.
