Many of us desire to enhance the visual appeal of our emails. In this brief guide, we'll explore a technique to make images even more captivating and endearing.

How to edit images?

Once you’ve uploaded the image, click the "Magic wand" icon in the settings panel to the right of the image snippet.

In a new pop-up window, your image will be opened with the Pixie editor, where you can:

  • apply filter;

  • resize, crop, or transform the image;

  • draw and put any text over the image;

  • add shapes, stickers, and frames;

  • set corners;

  • apply background;

Once you have finished editing the image, ensure to click on the "Save" button in the Pixie editor to apply the changes you have made.

How to overlay text onto an image?

Add the "Image" block and make changes by editing the image itself. To do so, hit the "Magic wand" icon and click the "Text" button.

To include the necessary text blocks, simply click on the "Add Text" button. Furthermore, you have the option to select both the color and font style. Once you have clicked on the "Apply" button, remember to save your changes.

Important to note: after saving an image with added text, it is not possible to edit that text again. However, you can add new text blocks to the image.

Additionally, to the image block, we offer two more options for adding text to an image: using a background image or a block banner. You can find instructions on how to add some text to the image by following the link provided.

How to add an image rollover effect to an image?

Using the image rollover effect can be an effective way to keep customers entertained and engaged. It also allows you to save space in emails, as you can hide product details behind the photo. Additionally, you can make the experience more interactive by having recipients "search" for coupons or play games.

To activate this effect, toggle the "Rollover effect" button and upload the second image — edit it if necessary.

Important to note: The image rollover effect works on desktop devices. Other users will see the primary image only. This feature works in a limited number of email services: Yahoo! Mail, Ukr.net, AOL, Gmail, iCloud Mail, Outlook 2003, macOS Apple Mail.

How to add an opacity to an image?

To adjust the transparency of an image, select it and open the code editor. Within the <style> tag for the image, add the code "opacity: 70%" (adjust the percentage as desired).

It's important to note that not all email clients support the "Opacity" style. You can verify which ones don't support it by checking this service.

How to save images to your personal library?

When you are uploading an image to a template, you can save it in two ways:

  • If you save an image in the Template folder, it will be available in the list of images only for that current template. It’s useful if you are adding an image just to one specific template:

  • If you put an image into the Project folder, you will see it available in all project templates. You can save an image here if you are going to use it in many email messages and templates of this project:

  • You can find many more free images in the Common and Stock folder. Try searching for a particular image by entering a keyword in the search field:
