How to export an email template to Brevo (former SendinBlue)?

In this article, you can find more information on exporting email templates from Stripo to Brevo (SendinBlue).

To export your email template from Stripo directly to Brevo, you need to:

  • Open an email template and click the "Export" button, which is located above the email template, then find the "Brevo" icon;

  • Enter your API key and select email type (campaign email or email template); click the "Export" button;


To get the API Key, go to the Brevo account, switch to the "SMTP & API" section and copy your API key.

  • Then Select a sender and click the "Export" button again;

  • The email template will be placed in the "Campaigns" → "Email/Templates" menu;

  • If you export more than one email or template with the same name, you will see the following pop-up notification where you are asked to choose whether you'd like to export your newsletter as new or replace an existing one.

Troubleshooting:

1. If you receive this "498 error":

The issue may be related to an unrecognized IP address "18.203.117.225" using.

Actions for solving:

In this case please kindly follow your "Brevo account" > "Security" > > "Authorized IPs tab":

Then:

1) click on "Add authorized IP address" button;

2) add this "18.203.117.225" IP address;

3) then try to process the export from Stripo to Brevo again.

2. If Brevo blocks the connection from Stripo:

If Brevo blocks the connection when exporting your email, the current Stripo IP address may not be included in your list of authorized IPs.

To resolve the issue:

  • In your Brevo account, go to SecurityAuthorized IPs.

  • Click Add authorized IP address.

  • Add the following IP address:

    • 54.247.167.106

  • Save the changes and try exporting your email from Stripo again.
