AMP for email allows senders to include AMP components inside rich, engaging emails, making modern app functionality available within an email. The AMP email format provides a subset of AMPHTML components for use in email messages, allowing recipients of AMP emails to interact dynamically with content directly in the message.
Emails written with AMP can contain interactive elements such as: an image carousel or accordions, real-time content, the type of content that is always up-to-date/updated in the email when the email is opened, or gamification.
Let's take a closer look at the carousel block:)
The amp-carousel component creates a carousel for displaying multiple images. You can customize the carousel's appearance and behavior by modifying its properties.
How to build an AMP carousel with Stripo:
Enter your email template and drag the "Carousel" block into it;
Add the desired number of slides by clicking on the "Add slide" button to add a new image;
Enter "Alternate text" and paste a link to the relevant slide if you need it;
If you want only one common link for all slides, activate the "General link" control and add the corresponding link to all slides at once;
Check if the sizes of all images match. If they do not, crop them with our photo editor;
If you want to see small preview images, you need to toggle the "Display preview" button. And set up the width for these preview images;
Result:
Set the "Slide preview" to top or bottom;
Adjust the "Preview alignment" and add a "Border radius preview";
Result:
Set "Outline style of active preview slides" and "Outline style of inactive preview slides";
Result:
Besides, you are able to set up "Indent between preview" images;
If you would like to make the slide round, then you can do it here with the function "Border radius slide";

Furthermore, you can set your own "Custom preview".
To do this, please activate the "Custom preview" control and choose which type of preview suits you:
Image preview type:
It means that you have the ability to upload your own preview image;
Color preview type:
It means that you have the ability to choose what color should be displayed in the preview;

Additionally, if you would like slides to change automatically, please activate the "Autoplay" option and set a time delay. For example, slides will be automatically changed every 2 seconds, or you can choose the convenient time for you, max 10 seconds;
Also you can activate the "Loop" option (slides can be switched in a circle);
Done:) AMP carousel is ready!
How to test AMP emails?
You can test it in your Gmail box when you send the test from Stripo. Please click on the "Test" button above the template;
In a pop-up window, enter your email address and click the "Send Test" button;
You should go into your mailbox settings in Gmail and turn on the option to receive dynamic content;
In the developer settings below, you need to specify our sender box as trusted- info@stripo-test.email
Please delete all the test emails (for that current email, if you tested it before) that you sent earlier and send the test again.
After all these steps, you will be able to test displaying your AMP emails.
After you've tested the emails and made sure it's ready to send, let's look at the option to export AMP emails:
How to export AMP emails?
Important to note: not all possible email services and clients support AMP functionality.

Here you can check which email support services send AMP emails and which email providers have AMP support content.
Currently, this is the list of ESPs that do support sending of AMP emails:
In order to export a finished AMP email, please click on the "Export" button in the Stripo editor, choose "Support for AMP", and you will be able to export the AMP email directly to your ESP.
If you see that your ESP is not listed but supports AMP technology, then you should export the email as AMP HTML — this export method saves the scripts that are appropriate for the MIME type. Import this file into the ESP that supports Google AMP for emails.
Proceed to "Files" and then to AMPHTML.
Please be informed that only 4 email clients (GMAIL, YAHOO, MAIL.RU, FAIREMAIL) support displaying AMP content as recipients.
Getting Whitelisted with Google and Yahoo
If you want to make your own sending, your mail should be white-listed in the Google/Yahoo service, so now I will tell you how to do it in just a few steps.
To get whitelisted with Gmail and Yahoo, you need to:
authenticate your emails using SPF and DKIM;
check the destination of XHR;
make sure the DKIM signature matches the domain of your sender address;
have a permanent history of mass mailings;
send an AMP email to ampforemail.whitelisting@gmail.com (Google) and ampverification@yahoo.com (Yahoo);
fill out the Sender Registration Form.
This form is designed for both mail services that support AMP.
After submitting the registration form, you will see the following notification:
You will not receive any other notification from Google or Yahoo until you are whitelisted.
